SURFACE AERATORS - HIGH SPEED, FLOATING TYPE
High speed floating aerators BIOXY VF type represent the ideal choice to aerate lagoons and large basins maintaining the aerobic conditions. These aerators are reliable in operation and are suitable for low depth basins such as lagoons. They are used when bridges and walkways cannot be installed or would be too expensive.
These units are equipped with a pancake-shaped floating device which resists to the axial thrust caused by the water pumped at high speed by a marine propeller. Water is pushed through the suction cone and then discharged through the diffuser with a powerful spray that helps the oxygenation of the water itself, producing an effective oxygen dispersion.
BIOXY VF aerator is composed by a TEFC electric motor directly coupled to the rotating shaft and mounted on a support housing equipped with high efficiency bearings, diffuser head and a marine profile propeller.
The assembly is carried out on a ovoid floating structure and equipped of suction cone with flared bottom to favour water drawing. At upper end of suction cone, a diffuser is instelled which special shape has been designed to maximize the spray. At shaft's lower end there is a marine profile propeller able to draw from the bottom the maximum water flow. Aerator grants a water circulation speed of 0,3 m/sec.
The floating device is filled with a high density polyurethane foam.
Installation of these aerators is very simple and does not require concrete bridges or walkways
